El Yunque National Forest Quarter Three-Coin Set (US Mint image)The United States Mint today, February 7, 2012, released the El Yunque National Forest Quarter Three-Coin Set. The set is available now for $14.95, plus the US Mint's standard shipping and handling charge of $4.95 per order.

Included in each set is a El Yunque National Forest Quarter struck to uncirculated quality at the US Mint's facility in Philadelphia, a El Yunque Quarter struck to uncirculated quality at the US Mint's facility in Denver and a El Yunque Quarter struck to proof quality at the US Mint's facility in San Francisco. The coins are placed in a plastic card imprinted with brief information about the strikes as well as a certificate of authenticity.

The El Yunque National Forest Quarter is the first 2012-dated release of the US Mint's America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. Four additional quarters will be released as part of the program in intervals throughout the rest of the year. These three-coin sets follow bags and rolls of the coins which were offered initially for sale on the 3rd of this month.
