2012 Kennedy Half Dollar Coins are now available for ordering from the United States Mint in both bags and two-roll sets. Both options went on sale beginning at Noon (Eastern) today, May 15, 2012.

The 200-Coin Bags contain 100-circulation quality Kennedy Half Dollars from the United States Mint's facility in Philadelphia and 100-circulation quality Kennedy Half Dollars from the United States Mint's facility in Denver. Each bag contains a label imprinted with both a 'P' and a 'D' representing both facilities. The bag shows "UNITED STATES MINT," "KENNEDY HALF DOLLARS" and the face value of the contents "$100.00."

Included as part of the two-roll sets is one roll of twenty Kennedy Half Dollars from the Philadelphia facility and one roll of twenty Kennedy Half Dollars from the Denver facility, for a total of forty coins. All of these coins are struck to circulation quality. Labels imprinted on each roll include "2012," "KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR," "$10" and a 'P' or a "D' for their minting facility.

The US Mint describes the 2012 Kennedy Half Dollar with:

"The obverse design of the half-dollar features a 1963 portrait of President John F. Kennedy by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Gilroy Roberts. The reverse design, by United States Mint Sculptor-Engraver Frank Gasparro, depicts a heraldic eagle with shield, reminiscent of the presidential seal."

Buyer's may purchase the 200-coin bags for $139.95. Pricing on the two-roll sets is $32.95. Both options also require a $4.95 shipping and handling charge per order from the US Mint.
