Today, May 1, 2012, the United States Mint released the 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set™ for sale to the public. The annual set is available for $16.95, plus the US Mint's standard shipping and handling charge of $4.95 per order.

Included as part of the set are two uncirculated quality examples of each of the 2012 Presidential $1 Coins (for a total of eight coins) including the Chester Arthur Presidential $1 Coin, the Grover Cleveland (1st Term) Presidential $1 Coin, the Benjamin Harrison Presidential $1 Coin and the Grover Cleveland (2nd Term) Presidential $1 Coin. One of each of the coins was struck at the US Mint's facility in Philadelphia with the second example of each struck at the US Mint's facility in Denver.

This annual set release continues the Presidential $1 Coin Program which debuted in 2007 and honors the former Presidents of the United States in the order in which the individuals served in office. These coins are the twenty-first through twenty-fourth to appear in the series as Chester Arthur was the 21st US President with the second term of Grover Cleveland marking the twenty-fourth US Presidency.

The US Mint describes the 2012 Presidential $1 Coin Uncirculated Set with:

"This set is presented in a folder with brief biographical sketches and portraits of each President. Each coin is mounted in an individual protective, rotatable blister; edge-incused inscriptions on the coins are fully visible. An image of the President appears on each obverse of the coins and the common reverse features a striking rendition of the Statue of Liberty. These coins also feature edge-incused inscriptions of the year, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the mint mark. The size, weight and metal composition of the Presidential $1 Coins are identical to that of the Native American $1 Coin. "

Orders for the set may be placed on the United States Mint website at http://catalog.usmint.gov or by calling 1-800-USA-MINT (872-6468). Once again, each set is priced at $16.95, plus the Mint's shipping and handling charge of $4.95 per order.
