2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Ten-Coin Set

Now available is the 2012 America the Beautiful Quarters Uncirculated Ten-Coin Set for a price of $12.95, marking a pricing reduction of $9 from the two prior annual sets which are still on sale at a price of $21.95 each.

Released by the United States Mint on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, the set includes ten uncirculated coins of all this year's quarters. These include those honoring El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico, Chaco Culture National Historical Park in New Mexico, Acadia National Park in Maine, Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii and Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska.

The ten coins within the set originate from two US Mint facilities. Five are from the Philadelphia Mint and five from the Denver Mint. These are the same two plants which manufacture American coins for circulation. The quarters, however, are not circulation quality but that of uncirculated quality for coin collectors, which means they are produced slightly different and offer sharper detail.

All ten quarters are contained within a colorful folder which includes brief details about each of them and the national parks or sites they honor, plus a Certificate of Authenticity.

The sets have a strong following with some collectors, as indicated by the latest US Mint sales figures as of April 23. Those numbers show 33,858 of the 2010 ten-coin sets and 32,611 of the 2011 ten-coin sets have been purchased.
