2010 Presidential Dollar Coin Uncirculated Set
|
The 2010 Presidential Dollar Coin Uncirculated Set actually includes a total of eight coins with two for each former president that is honored in the year. Each president is represented by one coin struck at the Mint's facility in Denver and one struck at the Mint's facility in Philadelphia. The coins also include the appropriate mint mark of either "P" or "D" depending on which location minted it. The set was released by the United States Mint on April 13, 2010, for the price of $18.95. This is actually a $3 per set increase over what the 2009 set cost. The coins are housed in a presentation folder and include biographical sketches, notable quotes and portraits of each President. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this year's set over previous years is the inclusion of the Abraham Lincoln coin. Always a popular figure from American history, Lincoln's presence in the set could thrust demand for it much higher than seen for any of the previous years editions. The eight Presidential $1 coins within the uncirculated set include:
Each of the dollars has a common reverse (tails side) of the Statue of Liberty, designed and sculpted by Don Everhart. Coins Specifications & Information
