2010 Presidential Dollar Coin Proof Set
|
Released by the United States Mint on February 11, 2010, the 2010 Presidential Dollar Coin Proof Set is the fourth year in which a proof set was created to showcase the four presidential coins released in that year. The series launched in 2007 and honors the former Presidents of the United States with a coin struck with their image. The coins are issued in the order upon which the president served. Making the 2010 collection perhaps more unique than the previous years is the fact that a coin honoring the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, is included in it. Many around the world have long had a fascination with Lincoln and so demand for this set may be higher than the demand seen for previous years sets. Price for the 2010 set is listed at $15.95, a one dollar increase over what the Mint charged for the 2009 set. Each coin is struck to proof quality which the Mint explains this way:
The dollars featured within the 2010 Presidential proof set include:
Each has a common reverse (tails side) of the Statue of Liberty, designed and sculpted by Don Everhart. Coins Specifications & Information
