2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set
|
The 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters Silver Proof Set includes the first five coins ever issued in silver as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters program. The United States Mint is set to release the set on May 27, 2010, for the price of $32.95. The price point set for this collection is actually $3 more than the $29.95 charged last year for the D.C. & U.S. Territories Quarters Silver Proof Set. What makes the price increase most interesting is that last year's set actually included six coins, while this years set has only five. The coins in this set are minted from 90% silver and 10% copper unlike the clad circulating quarters found in your pocket change. The following quarter-dollars in special collector proof condition are included in the set:

All of the coins in the series contain William Cousins modified portrait of George Washington (as originally done by John Flanagan) on their obverses. The reverses showcase the beauty of the United States by showing a portion of a national site like a national park, national forest, etc. Coins Specifications & Information
